It is a rough piece of shungite that is considered to be a higher quality and is sometimes called elite shungite, noble shungite or type 1 shungite. It naturally has very reflective areas on it, almost to a mirror shine. This rough piece measures about a 1 15/16" x 1 13/16" x 15/16" and weighs about 1.79 ounces. Since this material is mostly carbon, it is fairly fragile and will temporary color your hands black when you handle it - remove "staining" by washing hands with warm soap and water.
