Colombianite is a psuedo-tektite found in - surprise! - Colombia. A pseudo-tektite meaning it appears physically to be a tektite, but researchers have determined that this is actually obsidian. And they have dated the material to be around 30 millions old! For the indigenous Muisca people this material was used as a shamanic tool, and is referred to as "Piedra Rayo," or Lightning stone. For some people, Colombianite is considered to be Moldavite's "older sister," and may be a higher frequency than Moldavite.
